Hi guys,
Well Xmas is upon us and I wish all of my subscribers the very best. This month`s festive update includes:
One novel Hyper-Accelerated Dragon and a fantastic Accelerated Dragon involving a brilliant young Russian.
On the Dragon side I have included a slightly older (1999) Levenfish game because well, just because.
I notice that the friendly International Master Mr Afek had a very recent hatrick of defeats in our favourite opening. I couldn't be so mean as to include all three (okay I did think about it!) but an offbeat 8...d5?! is seen in one and I felt it was my duty to bring it to your attention.
Another Yugoslav Attack rarity involves an early Bb3 which Black attempts (but fails) to punish and finally there is a nice (but slightly puzzling Black win in the main line 9 Bc4 ...Qa5 variation.
A new Dragon book recently came to my intention. It is now in my collection and I have promptly added it to the Reviews section.
