A trendy line is to play 1 e4 c5 2 Nf3 e6 and now 3 b3 which is currently very fashionable. In Wohl - Collins from this year's British Championship White gives a model example of how to make progress and create a winning position.
It is worth checking out Pedzich - Olejarczyk to see a main line and encouragingly for White there is not much to learn in this alternative system. Oral - Koc is an example of someone rated over 2500 employing the system and beats an experienced player in just 13 moves! If only every game could be so easy for White...
