which deserves further investigation and practical tests.

and even got somewhat the better chances.

Edouard - Oleksienko: Romain Edouard skimmed the cream off as his opponent appeared unaware of the problems Black has recently begun to face in this line with 11.exf5:













Queen's Gambit Accepted 3.e4 Nf6, 6.Bd3 Nc6 7.Ne2 [D20]

Radjabov - Ponomariov: Teimour Radjabov came up with a rare approach, 10.a4!?:











and gained a stable advantage in the ending. However, it seems that Black can solve his problems earlier in the opening.

Tomashevsky - Yudin: Here Black grabbed a central pawn and got a solid position but it was too passive and his lack of development quickly began to cause headaches.



Anti-Meran 5...a6 [D45]

Aleksandrov - Rublevsky: Sergey Rublevsky quickly responded to White's new idea and improved over a game played in the same tournament a few days before, here, after 15.Nb6:
